The AKTA Prime Plus with is designed as an ‘easy to use’, small footprint, FPLC system for rapid separation liquid chromatography. The system allows storage of user-defined methods based on built-in templates or completely custom designed procedures. Application Templates (requiring only sample volume) are available for desalting, affinity purification of His-tagged (IMAC) and GST-tagged proteins, IgM, albumin removal, protein-folding, anion and cation exchange, etc. Method Templates are available for Gel-filtration, Ion-Exchange, HIC, and Affinity Chromatography. Built-in fraction collector allows for collection of eluates and peaks via time, drop, of volume modes. Data regarding column conditions, temperature, conductivity, UV absorbance etc, can be collected via computer through use of PrimeView Software, and for data analysis and Peak finding, integration, etc. The system can also be used with a chart recorder. The system on sale does not include computer, UV detector and pH/Conductivity meters. Pump and fraction collection systems have been tested. The unit comes with a warranty.
